Poem Composed Entirely with Last Lines from
William Kloefkorn Poems 1

unsaying virgin
so vulnerable

adrip with honey
just out of reach

against the tongue
of her hair

all night his thighs ache and ache
to release, scales and all, into the mystery of this widening pool

empty hands
to be repeated

at last, at last
I'll see you later

is for the best

The stars
fully blind
keep going

into the daily deadly friendly enemy.
Conclusive as next Sunday,
Larry Henderson sucks donkey dicks.

One ancient autumn
I'll be laughing at you,
kangaroo.

Blinding sun,
shining like a store-bought helmet,
has not yet got my tongue.
